New FAB 50 National Rankings

Basketball FAB 50 IllustrationBy There’s little change at the top in the second GrassrootsHoops.net FAB 50 rankings of the 2014-15 regular season, as only one team joins the top 25. There is plenty of change among the second 25, as teams jockey for position heading into the major holiday tournaments the next two weeks. There are nine newcomers to the rankings with the highest being No. 36 Sagemont (Weston, Fla.).

ESPN TV Schedule Announced

Top News 576Eleven games across ESPN family of networks began December 8. Grassroots Hoops FAB 50 No. 1 Montverde Academy to appear twice, including December 12 matchup with No. 6 Bishop O’Dowd (Oakland, Calif.). Bishop O’Dowd and No. 2 Oak Hill Academy (Mouth of Wilson, Va.) also will appear twice.

Updated FAB 50 National Rankings

Basketball FAB 50 Illustration 2Montverde Academy of Florida remains in the top spot in the first GrassrootsHoops.net FAB 50 rankings of the 2014-15 regular season. Oak Hill Academy of Virginia and Findlay Prep of Nevada hold their spots at No. 2 and No. 3 respectively, which the change beginning at No. 4. There are ten newcomers to the rankings with the highest being No. 23 Atascocita (Humble, Texas).

We began with teams No. 31-50 on Sunday, continued with teams No. 16-30 and now have published an in-depth look at the nation’s 50 best teams. Montverde Academy of Florida is the preseason No. 1 team for the third consecutive season.

Final Southeast Region Top 20 Rankings

We go 20 deep from five separate regions of the nation in our final Student Sports Regional Rankings. We rank 100 teams and nobody across the country ranks as many teams as StudentSportsBasketball.com. Final No. 1 teams are Oak Hill Academy (East), Montverde Academy (Southeast), Indianapolis Arsenal Tech (Midwest), Galena North Shore (Southwest) and Santa Ana Mater Dei (West).
