The two main goals of The HOOP SCOOP is to give every high school-aged player an opportunity to be evaluated and recognized for his athletic achievements. This same things applies to teams. The model of FAB 50 editor and Hoop Scoop publisher Ronnie Flores is to rank teams based on results, not based on the amount of recruits on the roster or reputation. This team submission form for coaches will be used to help us accomplish our two main goals and further develop our knowledge of high school teams from around the country.
Coaches, please submit the required information to be added to our team database. We request that the information be filled out as factually and accurately as possible. Please note all information submitted will remain confidential with Grassroots Hoops unless permission to release it is received by us from a parent/guardian or coach.
When submitting team information, please feel free to send us a digital photo(s) of your team or players on the team. Email photos as an attachment in JPEG format to: ronlocc1977@gmail.com
All clear pictures will be sized for possible use on our website and basketball database. Please make sure to identify and include as much relevant information about the photo as possible.
NOTE: By submitting photos and/or video electronically, you are granting permission for The HOOP SCOOP to publish that material. All physical photos and videos received by The HOOP SCOOP become the property of The HOOP SCOOP and will not be returned.
FAB 50 Basketball Policy: We do not rank teams with players on the roster that have completed eight semesters of high school i.e. 5th-year players. We do not rank programs that don’t follow age cutoff guidelines of the state association in which the program resides or the recommended date outlined by the NFHS (19 before September 1). Programs also must be recognized by a high school athletics governing body or be an associate member of a state association. Generally, programs must be allowed to play members schools of the state association in which the program resides and, outside of recruiting, follow all other rules of the high school governing body in that particular state. If coaches intentionally provide false or misleading information about his/her program, it automatically disqualifies that particular program from inclusion in the FAB 50 this year and each subsequent year.
