No. 3 Oak Hill Passes 1st Nike X Test

FAB 50 No. 3 Oak Hill Academy (Mouth of Wilson, Va.) outlasts No. 17 Sierra Canyon (Chatsworth, Calif.) 64-60 in its first game on California soil in eight years. For Sierra Canyon, it was a better showing and a lesson-builder for the upcoming CIF Southern Section Open Division playoffs.

No. 23 Fairfax Gets Big Home Win

Grassroots Hoop FAB 50 No. 23 Fairfax (Los Angeles) records statement victory over No. 7 Sierra Canyon (Chatsworth, Calif.) in the marquee game of its own Fairfax State Preview one-day showcase. The Lions are now 23-0 as they eye CIF L.A. City and state open division titles.

Findlay Prep (Henderson, Nev.) keeps pace with Oak Hill Academy (Mouth of Wilson, Va.) in the Grassroots Hoops FAB 50 with a victory over Our Savior New American (Centereach, N.Y.) at the Hoophall West Classic in Scottsdale, Ariz. Sierra Canyon (Chatsworth, Calif.) notches another quality win after capturing Maxpreps Holiday Classic with a victory over previously unbeaten DeMatha Catholic (Hyattsville, Md.).

We began with teams No. 31-50 on Sunday, continued with teams No. 16-30 and now have published an in-depth look at the nation’s 50 best teams. Montverde Academy of Florida is the preseason No. 1 team for the third consecutive season.
