We go 20 deep from five separate regions of the nation in our final Grassroots Hoops Regional Rankings. We rank 100 teams and nobody across the country ranks as many teams as GrassrootsHoops.net. Final No. 1 teams are Oak Hill Academy (East), Montverde Academy (Southeast), Lincolnshire Stevenson (Midwest), Mustang (Southwest) and Oakland Bishop O’Dowd (West).

New Mr. Basketball USA Tracker
Ben Simmons, the best player on the nation’s top-ranked team, continues to lead the pack in the Grassroots Hoops Mr. Basketball USA Tracker. The best player on the No. 2 ranked team in the FAB 50 and a few others on winning teams make inroads as the voting process produces a reduced set of viable national player of the year candidates.

New FAB 50 National Rankings
Only one new team cracks this week’s GrassrootsHoops.net FAB 50 national rankings. It’s longtime NYC power Lincoln (Brooklyn, N.Y.), but it came at the expense of another Big Apple squad. Twice Not Nice For Bishop O’Dowd
Oak Hill Academy (Mouth of Wilson, Va.) continued to build its resume as the nation’s top team with a 63-52 win over Bishop O’Dowd (Oakland, Calif.) at the Nike Extravaganza. It was a game the Warriors were in control of and it was their second victory over the Dragons this season

Updated FAB 50 National Rankings
Montverde Academy of Florida remains in the top spot in the first GrassrootsHoops.net FAB 50 rankings of the 2014-15 regular season. Oak Hill Academy of Virginia and Findlay Prep of Nevada hold their spots at No. 2 and No. 3 respectively, which the change beginning at No. 4. There are ten newcomers to the rankings with the highest being No. 23 Atascocita (Humble, Texas).

NorCal Tip-Off Classic: Top 25 Player Rankings

FAB 50 No. 6 Mater Dei (Santa Ana, Calif.) won the Platinum Division of the Tarkanian Classic for the second consecutive year, outlasting No. 27 Bishop O’Dowd (Oakland, Calif.) in overtime. Tournament will shake up national rankings picture as No. 2 Findlay Prep (Henderson, Nev.) loses twice at event. Check story for other national updates.
