The FAB 50 National Team Rankings powered by Ballislife.com is the official rankings of the National Sports News Service, which date back to the 1952 season. Chino Hills of California is the 2015-16 mythical national champion, the first from California since 1999-00 (Dominguez of Compton) and the first unbeaten California national champ since 1979-80 (Inglewood).

Here is a state-by-state list of the highest end-of-season rankings for boys’ basketball teams since a version of the Grassroots Hoops FAB 50 poll began for the 1987-88 season. 2017-18 FAB 50 national title contender Memphis East earned the highest ranking ever for a Tennessee club during the 2016-17 season and finished one spot lower at No. 4 in 2017-18. The 2018-19 McEachern of Powder Springs is now the highest-rated team ever from Georgia.
